Myriam Bouk Moun is a singer and a songwriter, she is born and live in Paris, France. After studying Sociology and Psychology, Myriam came to music by singing backing vocals in Cameroonian music.

 

Then she started jazz and played over the years with jazzmen of various esthetics. She also was a soloist for the American drummer Leon Parker in a band that have been immortalized in the serie #JazzedOut Paris aired on MezzoTV.

In 2014, she won the 3rd price at the prestigious international jazz singing contest of the Montreux Jazz Festival, sponsored by Shure and was given the opportunity of working and sharing the stage with jazz legends such as Lee Ritenour, Patti Austin and Charles Lloyd.

French press has described her voice as “limpid, moving, full of rich sonorities” conveying a “jazz open to the world, that takes you far away, very high”. Solo or with musicians, Myriam Bouk Moun has been performing clubs and festivals in her country as well as in Italy (Festival Tradire, Accademia Chigiana, in Sienna, Jazzset Festival, Cathedral of Aquaviva dei Fonti...), Switzerland, Germany, or Cambodia.
